My Coworkers Proposal Using a Party Bus

My coworker James is looking for a really creative way to propose to his girlfriend. He wants to do something really creative that involves not only his friends but his family as well. I came up with a really great idea. I told him to go to http://platinumpartybusrentaltoronto.com and look at the different party buses that they have available. At first he didn’t quite know where I was going with that suggestion. Then, I explained to him that a party bus would be the perfect way to transport a large number of guests. The reason we would need to transport a large number of guests is because we were going to plan a flash mob.

He was really surprised. He had seen lots of flash mob videos online before, but he had not thought about doing it for his own proposal. (more…)

How To Find Fossils in the Great Lakes

Hundreds of millions of years ago and long before glaciers carved the Great Lakes as we recognize them today they were once a shallow saltwater sea full of ocean life. Gastropods, trilobites, sponges, and corals covered the ocean floor. Whales, walruses, and giant fish swam in this ancient ocean and the giant short faced bear hunted in the woodlands. Now, millions of years later, all but their fossils are gone.

Today many of these fossils have been uncovered from the continuous movement of the sand and sea. Here are a few awesome examples of what can be found in and around the great lakes.

Dunkleosteus is one of the largest predatory placoderm fish known in the fossil record. An apex predator capable of taking down pretty much anything it could clasp its jaws around. With a concentrated force of up to 8,000 pounds per square inch at the tip of its mouth, this placed Dunkleosteus in the league of Tyrannosaurus Rex. By Devonian standards, Dunkleosteus was one of the most highly evolved animals and was one of the earliest jawed fishes. Instead of actual teeth, Dunkleosteus possessed two long, bony blades that were extensions of its jaw and could slice through

How National Parks Tours Can Provide A Different Experience

Adventure tour operators specialize in guided tour packages focused on providing an experience of the National Parks like most have never seen. Visitors to the great National Parks of the United States southwest will be exposed to the offerings of scenic landscapes and natural terrain that is unlike anywhere else in the country, or even the world. These “adventurous types” are generally overwhelmed by the volume of choices of day trips, and a lack of understanding of the area actually could have potentially disastrous effects, as recently discussed in a story presented on ABC’s show “20/20” called “My GPS Almost Killed Me.”

The 20/20 story follows a day trip to Death Valley involving Donna Cooper and her family, where a lack of updated information causes the Garmin GPS in her car to give directions leading her horribly astray from any civilization. Her car runs out of gas in a remote part of the park near Scotty’s Castle, and the lives of the family are saved only by a California Highway Patrol chopper who got lucky and followed a hunch, finally locating the family in a small area known as “The Big Trees.” The nightmare story of being lost in one of

All About Arroscia Valley

The Arroscia valley is between Piedmont and Liguria and is one of the most famous in Liguria. The valley is formed by many countries: Pieve di Teco, main town of the Arroscia valley, is a trade center always very important. Known over the years for its paper mill and tanneries (renowned for their mountain shoes), Pieve di Teco associates these activities with an exquisite production of cheeses and wines (Dolcetto and Pigato), as well as a typical bran bread oven cooked with wood. The heart of the medieval village is in Corso Ponzoni, the street sided by large porticoes, in which the handicraft stores run in alternation with the sculptured portals of the ancient palaces. Slightly farther on, the Augustinian convent (1478) encloses an evocative cloister with octagonal columns. The grandiose collegiate of San Giovanni Battista is, instead, an art gallery with its masters paintings. In the plain from the town, along the river Arroscia, there is an interesting complex formed by an oil mill, a bridge of medieval origin and the Largo dellaForca, a placed destined in the old days to capital executions. Most remarkable local gastronomy specialties are “focacce” vegetable pies and stuffed codfish. At a short

Tips To Connect With Locals While Traveling

I love to sample new foods and I love to try things that are very local. Hojaldres, for instance, are Panama’s equivalent to fried dough and when served with breakfast make you feel like you are getting eggs at the fair.

There is a tendency for travelers to eat at places that look clean and have a nice ambiance. Occasionally those places are fun to visit because they offer high-end foods that appeal to the tourist’s tongue. But they are usually expensive and, in all honesty, don’t always offer the best food.

Little local joints typically don’t look the cleanest from the outside and in some cases look down right terrifying. I am fearless when it comes to trying new places to eat, but occasionally I have paid a very dear price for my bravery.

Once I stopped at a little restaurant in Mexican Rivera Maya, just south of Cancun. It consisted of two plastic tables sitting outside a tiny cement home. Two people were sitting there, but they had the appearance of being family. I figured it would be a great way to meet people and try something local at the same time so I took a seat at the red plastic

The Meaning Of Adventure

Do you like to take vacations? Where do you go? Depending on your answers, you will tag yourself somewhere in a range between the cautious traveler and the thrill seeker. There is nothing uncool about being anywhere on the range. Folks tend to take vacations that fit their age, experience, temperament, judgement, and budget. Also, a thrill seeker who has a young family with children, will be impeded by responsibility, so it evens out.

What is the essence of adventure? I define it this way: It is an adrenaline rush of exhilaration, an experience that combines freedom with vulnerability precisely when a spark is fired by sheer terror! If you survive it, you will have a hair-raising memory that you will share with other people for the rest of your life. If you are harmed by it, you have my sympathy.

I cannot fit examples of my adventures into this article, but I can tell you how to have your own adventure. Play Airport Bingo (Railway Bingo, Cruise Ship Bingo, Taxi Bingo), a game in which you and your favorite person snag two discount tickets, a bargain basement savings to fill in an otherwise empty pair of seats. Then, just go! Don’t

Survival is an art of maintaining life, and in this regard, you must become an expert. Of course, it is not easy for a man to survive in the woods without any certain skills and experience. In the forest, there are always the swamps, lakes, streams and
